Tessa loves to dance outdoors. Because she wants to be real with you, she doesn't edit these videos much. What you see is what you get: a girl moving outside! With the wind, bugs, flowers, grasses, sunshine, you witness a woman against a gorgeous backdrop. Giggles, stumbles & flaws are paired with striking moments of beauty. Being timid to use her voice, Tessa is striving to push herself to use it. Here's an example of her experimenting. Though mildly embarrassing to share, Tessa finds that her movement changes while utilizing voice & breath; it somehow becomes more authentic with audible breathe and more forceful (or even more soft) with her full voice.

Tessa stumbled upon this project. She initially had no intention of this kind of work, but she loves it! While Tessa can dance a variety of styles, moving outdoors lends itself well to her natural way of dancing--swaying with the wind and grasses suits her. You'll notice she tries to find outfits that are beautiful to her. She likes to dance with her hair down, and she dances on a mat when necessary. On this day in October, many snakes were out, soaking up the sun as the weather cooled.
Tessa is capturing three things in her Outdoor Dance Project. 1) Videos. Simple videos of her improvising outside. 2) Screenshots of her dancing. 3) Slideshows of her images. The fact of the matter is, Tessa is LOVING doing this!!! Dancing outdoors is incredible, and keeping the footage simple and real is her goal. The screenshots are proving surprisingly gorgeous, and in making slideshows, such as the one above, Tessa is experimenting with black & white. Though, in full color, the images are pretty great too.
